Stanly County is home to more than 400 square miles of rolling hills in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Agriculture continues to be a major factor in the local economy with an estimated value of 1.6 billion dollars. It’s home to three wineries, numerous pick-your-own operations, four farmers’ markets, two farm bed & breakfast operations, and numerous restaurants and shopping destinations that feature NC farm products. The county’s two lakes, Badin and Tillery, offer opportunities for boating, fishing and water sports. Camping, horseback riding trails and boating are just a few things offered at the county’s state park, Morrow Mountain. Stanly County has something to offer everyone each and every season.
